    Electronic-IDs are used in Europe to provide secure online access to eGovernment services. But as a recent IDABC study has shown, this function is provided together with varying other functions and on different media within the Member States. In Austria, eID via Bürgerkarte is a virtual concept implemented on a number of different cards. In Belgium, it is on the citizens personal document, which is used for visual authentification as well. The Spanish ID Card contains biometrical features for offline-authentification. Estonia, as other northern countries, has a state eID card besides the bank eID card, and has applications in eCommerce as well. This one-day free workshop will analyse several eID European experiences and secure online eGovernment services with the help of recognised experts.
