  • Information Technology Sector Plan Town Hall Meeting
    Oct 16, 2006
    Microsoft Seminar Facilities
    Waltham, MA
Over the past six months, representatives of the Information Technology (IT) Sector, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and other Federal and State government entities, have been working closely on the development of a plan to protect the most critical functions of the IT Sector. Under national guidance, each critical infrastructure sector is required to develop a coordinated plan by December 30, 2006 that will guide future activities, including risk assessment, information sharing, protective programs, measurement of progress, and research and development priorities. The IT Sector and DHS are holding a series of Town Hall Meetings across the Nation in October to provide industry partners and representatives of the IT Sector with information on the plan development process and the content of the plan. The objective of these Town Hall meetings is to ensure that the plan is shared with a wide variety of audiences within the IT Sector and to gain feedback and perspectives from IT Sector partners. The plan will outline approaches and actions that will contribute to the resiliency of the IT Sector and it is important that industry perspectives are discussed and addressed as the plan is developed. The Town Hall Meeting will feature a presentation on the IT Sector plan, an opportunity for discussion, and a chance to network with colleagues.
