Marika Konings , Director of European Affairs
Marika Konings joined CSIA in September 2006 as its Director European Affairs. She is tasked with running the CSIA office in Brussels, Belgium, which is dedicated to representing CSIA’s interests before the European Union institutions.
Prior to joining CSIA, Marika worked for almost 7 years for Interel Public Affairs, a Brussels based public affairs consultancy, as a senior consultant. There, she developed true all round capabilities managing accounts for blue chip companies, not-for-profit organizations as well as professional societies. Marika has developed extensive experience in strategic counseling, client representation, developing and implementing targeted European and international public affairs campaigns and stakeholder outreach in the ICT sector. Before that, she worked in the European Commission’s Technical Assistance Office and the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee.
Marika has a degree from the University of Maastricht, the Netherlands, in Culture and Sciences and a Master’s Degree in European Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium. |
